Description

Salut !
When playing the Frequence K stream (not so bad radio), I've noticed a very weak
sound with the internal Java player. When switching to the external player
(XMMS), the sound becomes louder to reach a normal level.

Can you check the mixer level when xmms and when the FreeCast node is running ?
The output of "aumix -q a" for instance.

The FreeCast node doesn't modify the mixer levels. May be it should.

There is a constant difference between the sound loudness in freecast and in XMMS.
Here below the result of 2 different `aumix -q a` before and after a sound
volume change in xmms :

When XMMS sets the volume to the max, freecast level is acceptable. When xmms
sets the volume to a low value, freecast is not audible. Maybe there is a gain
parameter in the freecast ogg player. Maybe it can be a good idea to add a
volume control in the window interface.
